Presenting Jonas Rüde and his Teacher Dr. Jana Poljanovskaja from Leipzig

Jonas Rüde, 10yo

Jonas started his music education at the age of 3 and from 2017 he became a piano student of Dr. Jana Poljanovskaja in Leipzig. In addition to piano, Jonas also plays drums for which he won 1st Prize at the Jugend Musiziert-Competition in Leipzig in 2017.

In 2018 Jonas took part in the Irina Nenartovich Internet Piano Competition (INIPC) and became Golden and Silver Prize Winner.

In November 2018 Jonas won the 3rd Prize at the Russian Wonder Competition in St. Petersburg where he premiered 1st Piano Concerto by A. Peskanov with Russian National Andreev Folk Instruments Orchestra.

In 2019 Jonas won the 1st Prize at the Jugend Musiziert-Competition in Leipzig where he played in duet with saxophonist.

Jonas is a keen sportsmen and enjoys skiing, swimming and surfing.

Dr. Jana Poljanovskaja

Dr. Jana Poljanovskaja received her Master’s Degree in Piano and Musicology at the St. Petersburg State Conservatoire and PhD in Music History at the Russian National Institute of Art History.

She is a laureate of Park Lane Group Young Artists Series in London, 1st CHAIN Competition of Modern Music Interpretation in Weimar, and she regularly gives recitals as a soloist, chamber musician and collaborative pianist.

Dr. Jana Poljanovskaja possesses over 25 years of practical experience in teaching in Russia and Germany. Her students have received awards in international and state competitions.
