Christine Peng (9)
Christine was born in Columbus, OH USA in 2009 and started learning to play the piano when she was five.
Christine won 1st and 2nd prizes at the Carmel Klavier International Piano Competition (Contemporary Composer Category) in 2017 and 2018 respectively.
We are delighted to welcome Christine to the Elena Cobb Star Prize Festival at RAH Elgar Room for the second time!
The Legend of Loch Ness by Donald Thomson from the Scottish Waters is the piano piece which Christine will be performing at the Royal Albert Hall Elgar Room on 4 April.
Emily Yang (8)
Emily is lovely girl who enjoys her piano lessons and studies robotic coding in her spare time.
Emily’s competitive spirit often takes her to several competitions every year and in 2018 she received a Grand Prix for her performance in the Solo Elementary Division and 1st prize at the Carmel Klavier International piano Competition (Contemporary Composers Category). Emily also won 2nd prize at the BMTG Intercontinental Piano Competition and was honoured to perform at the Carnegie Weill Recital Hall winners recital. Her latest achievement is the 1st prize at the Dennis Alexander Competition in her home State of New Mexico.
Emily generously shares her musical talent in the community and often performs for the senior community services and for her friends and family.
Emily loves reading, painting, making ceramics and swimming as a hobby.
In the festival, Emily will be performing Grumps by Sam Wedgwood from Sam Wedgwood’s Project book 1.
Hannah Leng (9)
Hannah is a fifth-grade student and a very musical young pianist.
Over the recent years, she has achieved excellent results both in Guild and Trinity College London examinations.
Emily often takes part in music competitions and wins prizes for her performances.
She shared with us that she is particularly proud of winning 2nd Prize in the Carmel Klavier International Piano Competition in 2018.
Hannah and her brother William will be playing Mrs Van der Blond piano duet by Elena Cobb.

William Leng (9)
William is a happy third-grade student who started to take his piano lessons in 2016 and since then, he has achieved outstanding results both in Guild and Trinity College London examinations.
William has a heart of gold and he often can be seeing performing for the senior assisted living facilities in his home town of Albuquerque in New Mexico.
He was delighted to receive an Honourable Mention at the Carmel Klavier International Piano Competition 2018.
In his spare time, William enjoys swimming, skiing, and fishing.
